1. People who work in the miraculous are courageous - Jesus said to the centurion, “I will go and heal him” (v. 7). It takes courage to launch out with this kind of confidence.
2. People who work in the miraculous operate on a word from God - The centurion said to Jesus, “just say the word, and my servant will be healed” (v. 8, italics added). Oral Roberts has written, “Your faith begins to move, to act, when the power of God supernaturally empties you of doubt and fills you with a knowing. You come into a state of knowing that you know that you know.”
3. People who work in the miraculous are dependant on the power of God’s Spirit within - The apostle Paul asked, “Does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you because you observe the law, or because you believe what you heard? (Gal. 3:5). It is the Spirit who works the miracles, not me! And yet, I am a vessel He wants to use.
4. People who work in the miraculous expect the miraculous to happen - Jesus said to the centurion, “It will be done just as you believed it would” (v. 13). In other words, the centurion saw his servant being healed even before it happened! Therefore, we must ask ourselves whether our lives allow for expressions of faith. Oral Roberts has a famous phrase that can help us in this life of faith: “Expect a miracle.” The Lord opened this further for him by saying, “Expect a new miracle every day.”

Miracles, where do we start. They are very much needed. I have been stuck on one word over the past month and it is POWER!!
We cannot change this world without the POWER of God for it is how salvation comes Rom, 1;16.
