Quotes to Live By

The picture to the right is the famous landing of General Douglas MacArthur on the Phillippines a few years after he famously said, "I shall return" in 1942. I stumbled across a quote by MacArthur which should be a challenge to all:

"People grow old only by deserting their ideals. Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up interest wrinkles the soul. Worry, self-doubt, self-distrust, fear, and despair; these are the long, long years that bow the head and turn the growing spirit back to dust."

How true are these words of the General. Let us not forget the things that so many have given their lives to pass on to us - a generation that can rise to accomplish extraordinary things for God.
