Money is important. There is no doubt that in our society we need a certain amount of money in order to provide for our daily needs. And yet, so often most of our concerns about money revolve around whether we will have enough to cover the monthly bills, or whether we will be able to pay off that credit card on which we have over-spent. Perhaps is is time to think of those who are less fortunate than ourselves, for as Jesus said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive." Let us ask ourselves today, "Whom can I bless?"
"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter" (Martin Luther King, Jr).

Money Matters
What is your attitude towards money? It is probably fair to say that "How we handle money says more about us than almost anything else we could mention." In fact, "our attitude to money forms a unique and transparent window into our inner self" (Paul Scanlon). Such a window reveals how important money actually is in our lives. It reveals our spending habits, our financial worries and fears, but most especially, it reveals whether we have a heart that is given to generosity. The Bible has a lot to say about the use and misuse of money. In fact, Jesus goes straight to the heart of the issue by saying: "No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. "
