Today was an awesome day for us as a church community, for we all witnessed three recently converted men baptized in water and filled with the Spirit! Ron, Bob and Harrison all testified to how the Lord Jesus has changed their lives after they had lived in darkness for so long. One could almost hear and feel the angels in heaven rejoicing over what has happened to these young men. I love the way The Message translation refers to this experience: "He took our sin-dead lives and made us alive in Christ...Now God has us where he wants us...to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus" (Eph. 2:5,7).
Many words were shared over the lives of these young men as they came up out of the water, particularly that it is a new beginning for each one. The old has gone, the new has come! For me, this is the most exciting part of the extension of God's kingdom. It is truly wonderful and miraculous to see people born again and filled with the Spirit. It is the greatest miracle of all! And - to witness it - to actually sense the Spirit of God starting to work deeply in a person's life is staggering. It is truly magnificent, wondrous, stunning, awe-inspiring, beautiful - O there are so many words one could use to describe the blessing of salvation.

Praise God Bill...! This is wonderful...! Did the Spirit come upon them as they came out of the water or were they prayed for...? Which ever way...it dosn't mattter, the old is gone and the new is come..!
Very Cool...
It's awesome to hear names from Peterborough that I do not recognize...means that there is new growth, which, by the way, rocks!
