Let Me Tell You

This past Wednesday night at our weekly prayer meeting, one of our new converts named Harrison stood up and simply said to all of us, "Let me tell you what Jesus has done for me!" He went on to describe how the Lord had been working in his life over the past three weeks since he became a new creation. It was absolutely thrilling! Once again we were all reminded that perhaps the greatest miracle of all is how the Lord can take a life and turn it around for His glory.

The simple phrase that Harrison used - "Let me tell you what Jesus has done for me" - has gripped me. For despite all the challeges of church life - the issues people face, the ups and downs, confrontations, conflicts and the like, I was reminded again that seeing people come to Christ - like Harrison did - is really what it is all about. Somehow the issues that so many people think are important today pale in comparison to seeing someone born into the kingdom. For this reason, the church must get its act together!

"Let me tell you what Jesus has done for me" is a testimony that I could do with hearing over and over again. To this end, we must work to spread our faith to all who will listen.
